Work

I’m a software engineer with extensive professional experience, especially building back-end systems. My journey in software engineering started in my teenage years, where my interest for video games and message boards led me to try and understand how websites and message boards worked. That interest led me to follow Computer Science classes in college–I graduated with an engineering degree from the Université de technologie de Compiègne, one of the major engineering schools from my native France.

I consider myself as a jack of many trades, and a master of a few. I’ve touched and shipped all kinds of systems: embedded systems, native apps, CLI tools, web apps, APIs… There are a few areas that I believe I have a strong expertise, though:

  • Back-end engineering: I’ve built and contributed to high-performance back-end systems that handle billions of active datapoints, using state-of-the-art technology and following best practices to build lasting & resilient systems.

  • Localization: While at Apple, I was one of the major contributors to the internal localization tooling powering macOS, iOS, watchOS and tvOS’s localization. I was the technical lead on multiple new projects and expansions, and I know the ins and outs of the process to successfully localize software.
